The City Council of Granada runs a brand new bus pass for disabled people
There have been approved two kind of fares: 0 euro fare, for those people with incomes not higher than 532.51 month, and 0.57 euro fare for those who have an income not higher than 1.5 times the IPREM value.
Ease the access to public transport for disabled people is the target of this brand new bus pass improved by the City Council of Granada for this group, a measure that can be joined by people that fulfil the conditions required and submit their applications forms in the local offices of the City Council. Specifically, there have been stablished special fares for this group. There have been approved two kind of fares, the first one, 0 euro fare, that can be joined by those people that fulfil the general requirements stablished by the City Council proving that they do not have any income higher than the current IPREM value , this is, an income higher than 532.51 month.
On the other side, a 0.57 euro fare that can be joined by those people who fulfil the general requirements stablished by the City Council and proving that do not have any income 1.5 times higher than the current IPREM value, this is, income higher than 798,76 month.
General requirements to benefit from this aid are to be registered in the municipal area of Granada and prove a disability degree of 65% or higher.
There have been recived 227 applications, until march 2016, there have been granted 50 free buss passes and 22 subsidised, and 155 waiting for more documentation.
This measure joins others run by the City Council of Granada for a more comfortable city for grenadines and , in particular, to ease accessibility and integration in society of this collective.
Vigency of bus pass will be linked to stablished , in this case, on the accreditation certificate of the recognition of the degree of disability, and therefore, to the undefined or temporal character of the recognised disability.
People that can benefy of these aids must go to Social Welfare and Family Area of the City Council of Granada, in the Administrative Complex of Los Mondragones, to process these aids.
