Renewal of bus fleet with 8 vehicles for Albaicín, Realejo and Sacromonte areas
The City Council renew bus fleet with 8 brand new vehicles for Albaicín, Realejo and Sacromonte areas. The have a EURO6 engine approved as the most efficient, both functional pov and substainability.
City Council renew urban bus fleet with 8 brand new vehicles, more modern and less contaminant, for bus lines C1, C2 and C3, with their routes along neighbourhoods of Albaicín, Realejo and Sacromonte. The Major, Francisco Cuenca, has declared that the city handle an historical request, both from the neighbours of these districts and the workers of public transport themselves.
Unlike old vehicles -obsoleted, with accessibiity problems and difficulties to climb slopes- these new and modern mini buses now begin to operate have an EURO6 enginie with 7G Tronic automatic gearbox, a system approved as the most efficient, both from the functioning pov and mobility, and from energy efficiency and substainability, as the Major has explained.
After recalling the challenge of the City Council for a Granada green where the release of CO2 reduce, Cuenca has insisted on the improvement of the transport service that these modern mini buses are going to contribute both to the neighbours of this districts and tourists that visit them. So, these new vehicles, that incorporate inner informative pannels, low floor buses, have capacity for 24 people, have electric ramps and have space for wheelchairs.
With this action, which cost 1,2 millon euros have been sponsored by Rober company in compliance with a contract signed with the City Council, the Government team takes a step forward, as the Major conclude, to fulfil our commitment with the environment, substainability, health and welfare of the citizenship of Granada.
