Celebration Dia de la Hispanidad
On 12 October 2016 celebrates Día de la Hispanidad in the center of Granada.
From 10:30 hours traffic will be shut in San Matías, Plaza Mariana Pineda and Ángel Ganivet. Military music band in Plaza Mariana Pineda.
From 10:45 hours aproximately, traffic cut will be in Reyes Católicos between Puerta Real de España and Plaza Isabel la Católica. Move of the Honour Unity from Capitanía General and the Military Music Band from Plaza Mariana Pineda to Plaza del Carmen.
At 11:30 hours departure of the Procession to Capilla Real, arriving aproximately at 11:50 hours.
At 12:30 hours, exit from Capilla Real, back through Oficios Street, Gran Vía de Colón, Plaza Isabel la Católica.
At 12:45 h, offering in front of the monument of Isabel la Católica and Cristóbal Colón, arriving at Plaza del Carmen at 12:55 hours.
At 13:05 procession of the Honour Unity with the following itinerary: Navas, Plaza del Carmen, Reyes Católicos, Puerta Real, Ángel Ganivet, Plaza Mariana Pineda. End of acts at 13:15h.
Itineraries expected
OUTWARD: City Hall - Plaza del Carmen - Reyes Católicos - Plaza Isabel la Católica - Gran Vía de Colón - Oficios - Capilla Real.
BACKWARD: Capilla Real - Oficios - Gran Vía - Plaza Isabel la Católica - Reyes Católicos - Plaza del Carmen - Casa Consistorial.
Afecctions to traffic
- Line C5 does not give service due to bank holiday.
- Lines C3 and C4 will be affected during traffic cut in San Matias Street.
- Line LAC and lines SN1 and SN4 will not go through Reyes Católicos - Gran Vía de Colón, making desvío de transporte público por Recogidas - Camino de Ronda - Severo Ochoa, from 10:30 hours until 13:15 aproximately.
- Lines C1 and C2, once Gran Vía is shut to traffic, will have Head Stop in Cuesta del Hospicio, and from here back to Albaicín.
Traffic cuts
- 10:00 - Traffic cut in Plaza Mariana Pineda
- 10:15 - Traffic cut in Ángel Ganivet, Plaza Mariana Pineda and San Matías
- 10:30 - Traffic cut in Reyes Católicos both senses. Traffic cut will be until procession gets in Oficios Street and will be done again when Procession gets back from Capilla Real.
- 10:45 - Diversion of vehicles arriving from Plaza Nueva to Pavaneras (due to traffic cut in Gran Vía and Reyes Católicos).
Traffic cut in the access to Gran Vía from Almireceros.
from Cárcel Baja, access prohibited from Gran Vía to Plaza Isabel la Católica.
From Triunfo, access prohibited to Gran Vía, except taxis, residents and guest of hotels to Álvaro de Bazán.
Traffic will be diverted to Triunfo from all traffic that get to Gran Vía from: Cárcel Baja, Valentín Barrecheguren, San Agustín, Álvaro de Bazán, Postigo Veluti, Marqués de Falces, Azacayas, Tinajilla and Profesor Emilio Orozco.
Acess prohibited from Pavaneras in junction with San Matías. - From 11:50 to 12:30 aproximadamately traffic will be opened in Gran Vía - Reyes Católicos, and making the same traffic cuts once the Procession gets back from Capilla Real.
