Traffic cut in Paseo del Generalife

Due to the canalizacion along Paseo del Generalife (section between Washington Irving Hotel and Arquitecto García Paredes Square), where will be total traffic cut in that section of the street.

Due to the canalizacion along Paseo del Generalife (section between Washington Irving Hotel and Arquitecto García Paredes Square), shere will be total trafficcut in that section of the street.

There will be, before the traffic cut is done, an alternative route to connect, in both senses of circulation, Arquitecto García Paredes Square (going up from Cuesta del Caidero) with Paseo del Generalife once have passed Washington Irving Hotel to keep the public bus transport service.So, to make this traffic diversion of microbuses and touristic train the following measures will be taken:

  • setting up of the access from the inner vial of the Alhambra passing in front of Puerta de la Justicia with Paseo del Generalife through the motorbike parking place opposite to Washington Irving Hotel.
  • regulate the alternative pass using portable traffic lights in the restricted access section between the way that communicates with Puerta de los Carros and Paseo del Generalife (besides the old Washington Irving Hotel).
  • Set up the double sense of circulation, restricted only for microbuses, touristic train, taxis and authorized vehicles, in the way that communicates Paseo del Generalife with the path that arrive from Puerta de las Granadas (extension of Cuesta de Gomérez), and becoming a double sense circulation the path that pass in front of Puerta de la Justicia.

This traffic cut vigency in Paseo del Generalife will be from 15 july 2015 to 30 august 2015, dividing these works to keep anytime the access to Paseo de los Mártires and also the connection between Arquitecto García Paredes Square(connection with Cuesta del Caidero) and Cuesta de Gomérez, both to give service to Public Transport and the service to Carmen de los Mártires and Manuel de Falla Auditorium.
