The LAC vehicles exposed in Paseo del Salón
Fifteen BRT vehicles of the High Capacity Line will be exposed in Paseo del Salón from 12:00 to 20:00 hours on wednesday 28 May so the people of Granada could see the new vehicles.
The people of Granada can see the vehicles of the new mean of public transport on wednesday 28 May. The fifteen new buses of the future High Line Capacity (LAC) will be exposed from 12:00 to 20:00 hours in Paseo del Salón.
The high capacity vehicles, that will soon replace the traditional ones, offer better and high performances so the quality of the service of public transport will be improved.
The new mean of transport will be a improvement of mobility in Granada, because it could allow more fluency in circulation and less noise contamination. The LAC will also give a new image of Granada.
It is a brand new vehicle Mercedes Capacity model with a length of 19,5 meters, with capacity for 38 seated passengers plus 139 passengers that could travel standing still. At the same time, it has two spaces for wheelchairs.
The Mobility and Citizens Protection, Telesfora Ruiz, has pointed out the City Council of Granada´s bet for a modern and friendly with the enviroment mean of transport. So, she has explained that the buses have an EURO V EEV engine, which is the last existing in the market for high capacity vehicles.
