Closing activities of Educational Road Safety
On June 13rd was celebrated the Closing Ceremony of different activities celebrated in the Educational Road Safety Center of the Mobility Area.
This ceremony was headed by Acting Mayor Mr. Juan Antonio Mérida, and, with him, Deputy Mayor and Citizen´s Protection and Mobility Council, Mrs. Telesfora Ruiz, the DGT Chief, Mr. José Vico, and the local Council of Education, Mr. Jorge Saavedra.
This act once again filled the capacity of the Meeting Room with boys and girls, young, mothers/fathers, grandparents and grandmothers and also teachers, was made to celebrate different activities made in this Center:
- First of all, School Traffic controllers were been awarded for their unconditional work in Road Safety in the sourroundings of their corresponding school centers: Santa Marta (Zaidin), Divino Maestro (Albayzin), Ntra. Sra. del Rosario (Realejo) and Arrayanes (Norte) a total of 47 Controllers.
- Award ceremony to the winners of the Drawing Contest in its XX Edition with the slogan.Safe School Way. There have been participated 40 centers with a total of 1,057 drawings both individual and group.
- Diploma award to all contributors with the local Center in their work to spread Road Safety so ALL could make our city Safer and Healthier.There have been awarded: 061´s doctor Francisco Javier Ferrón, the president of the Provincial Association of Driving Schools José Blas Valero, the AMPA and Ave Mª S. Isidro school for being pionner in the project of Safe School Ways, school Divino Maestro,Santa Marta, Arrayanes and Ntra. Señora del Rosario for their invaluable cooperation with teachers every day with the School Traffic Controllers.
- Presentation of the Campaing in Bus of the Safe School Ways so one bus is going to be panellated with the 8 awarded drawings of the 4th Primary and "nd Secondary schoolchilds./li>
At the end of the ceremony, a girl as spokeperson of the rest of the participants gave the Acting Major a ballon to the hospitalized Major, wishing him a soon recovery,with a great ovation of the public.
With popcorn and some presents children had some photographs with the authorities and the bus panelled with the drawingsCon palomitas en mano y diversos regalillos bajaron a visitar y fotografiarse junto a las autoridades al lado del bus con sus dibujos expuestos.
