Still encouraging active displacements on Bike
Last 26 and 27 February, included in european STARS project, there have been made several routes and practical classes for students of different centers in Granada.
Last 26 February School Center Andrés Segovia: teacher staff and students, included in european Project STARS for the encouragement of active, sustainable and healthy displacements, made a route on bike designed and organised by technicians of the Municipal Center in Road Safety and were accompanied by the Ciclyst Unit of Local Police
Itinerary was around the city center, limited 30km speed streets, and back using bike lanes.
They have an ethical and supportive behaviour, of a educative center that pursue to be Gold Medal in this current school year.
Last 27, the Educational Center in Road Safety, was kindly addressed to the request of the Dean of the Faculty of Sports, Mr. Don Aurelio Sánchez, to make, in the European Project STARS, a bicycle route with two educational centers joining. We were welcomed by the professors of this Faculty: Justino Cebeira and Palma Chillón.
It was designed a route for bicycles from the facilities of the Municipal Center on Road Safety in Huerta del Rasillo to Carretera de Alfacar where this Faculty is located.
Route: Road and bicycle lanes were used interchangeably to cycle with almost 50 students of school centers IES Ángel Ganivet and Juan XXIII Chana and their respective teachers, STARS teacher staff and municipal technicians of CEV (Mobility) and accompanied at every moment by a Cyclist Unit of Local Police, was a long but educative route on bike, where coexistence and respect between users, had no incidences.
Professor Justino Cebeira, whose subject is BICYLCE, teached a practical class implementing values education for young people around him listening carefully. After that, professor Palma Chillón showed the facilities of the Faculty and benefits of career oportunities.
Finally, and having previously a healthy breakfast, back to muncipal facilities, with no incidences and an unforgettable experience for young participants.
