In the city of Granada, because a few parking places in some areas, there have been stablished measures to guarantee car park places time limited (ORA).

Schedule
This service will be active in associated streets in this working schedule:
Wintertime, from September 15th to June 15th
- Monday to Friday: from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 16:30 to 20:30.
- Saturday: from 9:00 to 14:00.
Summertime, from June 16th to September 14th
- Monday to Friday: from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00.
- Saturday: from 9:00 to 14:00.
Ordinance
Regulatory Ordinance of Limited Parking Streets
It has been published in BOP of Granada number 134, Thursday, Julio 15th 2010.
Summary:
This ordinance regulates the use of urban streets, making compatible the equal distribution of car parks between all users with the fluency of traffic and pedestrians in the streets, and the stablishment of limited parking measures, to guarantee parking places rotation, and the stablishment of corrective measures to guarantee its proper fulfilling.

Justification
As the Municipal Regulatory Ordinance of the Limited Parking Streets says: The shortage of space destinated to park and the increase of the automotive park in the city of Granada in the last years, request the need of a regulation in the municipal public parking in the urban streets…with a rational and equal distribution of parking places between all the users and to give citizens a better welfare and a better quality of life.
From all the requests made by the Neighborhood Associations and the reports made by the Technical Services of the Mobility Department it is necessary to modify the appendix 1 in the mentioned in the Ordinance to settle new streets with parking limitations, to make compatible its equal distribution between users.
The analisys made by the Technical Service is based in:
- Necessity of optimize the shortage of space destinated to park available for the citizen's needs,
- Necessity to obtain a bigger rotation in fact of the parking places occupation for a long period,
- Loss of rotation zones in the city,
- Determine zones defined by its comercial, administrative and service activity,
- Determine the neighborhood request in different ways, as the abuse in the use of the parking places , the diffficult control zones existence, the fact of regulated streets that have been remained isolated, determine streets where residents doesn´t have parking options because they are in a high demand, etc.
- Refuse petitions in zones where there is no comercial, administrative or service activity, or neighbours doesn't think is needed.
- 30 minutes: 0.55 €
- 1 hour: 0.90 €
- 2 hours: 1.80 €
- 1 day: 1.05 €
- Exceeding less than half an hour on the parking place: 3.10 €
- Exceeding more than half an hour on the parking place or not having ticket: 6.30 €
- 1 hour: 0.70 €
- 5 hours: 1.45 €
- 1 day: 1.05 €
- Exceeding less than half an hour on the parking place: 3.10 €
- Exceeding more than half an hour on the parking place or not having ticket: 6.30 €

- To be registered in the city of Granada, in the address appearing in the application as"place of residence".
- To be authorised in the National Department of Traffic (DGT) as holder and/or regular drivers of the vehicles that require the authorization.
- Not having any tax penalties or debts with the City Council of GRanada (in traffic and parking).
- Tax address in the city of Granada
- Technical specifications of the vehicle and Technical Inspection positive and in force at the moment of the request
- Current insurance policy in force at the moment of the request
- If the street is located in the Anex I of the O.R.V.E.L., solicitant could apply for authorization for a different zone that belongs to the solicitant when his address is less than 400 metres away of the area requested.
- Si su calle no se encuentra contenida en el Anexo I de la O.R.V.E.L. podrá solicitar autorización para una zona determinada, siempre que su domicilio se encuentre a menos de 400 m. de la zona de su elección.
- If the street is not located in Anex I of O.R.V.E.L. solicitant could apply for authorization for a determinated zone, always if your address is located less than 400 meters from chosen area.
- Press "cancel" until the word "resident" appears on the screen.
- Introduce the exact amount or pay with credit card .
- You will save time and gain security because you don´t have to find a device in the street.
Avoid the manipulation of cash and enter your number plate - You will have your ticket on your mobile phone at any time to check its validity and extend it if you need to.
If you neeed more time to stay extend it easily with the app - You can manage and pay any penalty with this app if yoy have a current ticket that you couldn´t extend on time and you have been fined.

Resident Card Application
Requirements
There will be considered as"residents", for the purpose of the obteining of authorization to park in a limited parking area (O.R.A), those registered in the city of Granada - natural person - that satisfy the following conditions:
Also, the vehicles that want parking authorization for residents in limited parking zones, must confirm in the National Department of Traffic (DGT):

Types of authorization
Direct authorization
Application for authorization for the streets on the Anex I of the Regulatory Ordinance of Limited Parking Streets.
Authorization due to proximity
In any case the applications to authorise due to proximity wil be subject to the criteria of the Local Inspection .

Use of parking meter for the obtainance of the "resident ticket"
The ticket can be obtained from 20:35 hours preceding the one in which the solicitor wants to park and will be valid until 08:59 hours of the following day.

Thanks to these applications you can manage your contactless ORA ticket.
In Granada you can use an app to manage your personal parking meter on your mobile phone: elparking.
You can also use the app Imbric to pay in ORA zone (and other mobility services as well, as public parkings, taxis and urban buses).
With your Imbric Account you can pay ORA through the app elparking. Both applications are synchronized to make easier mobility around Granada. You don´t have to look for the closest parking meter or coins to pay your stay, you can handle it with the app easier and safer.
